In the latest issue of Service95, Dua Lipa bids farewell to her Radical Optimism Tour, which ends tomorrow night (Dec 5th) in Mexico City. What an incredible accomplishment! Read her heartfelt message below:
I can’t quite believe I’m saying this, but tomorrow night in Mexico City will be the very last show of my Radical Optimism Tour. This journey has been an absolute whirlwind of emotions. When I think back to where it all began in November last year with the Asia leg, and then every city, culture, and pinch-me moment we’ve lived through since – above all, the beautiful souls we’ve met along the way – it honestly brings tears to my eyes.
I keep saying “we” because none of this would have been possible without the most extraordinary family on the road with me. My talented dancers, my incredible band, every crew member who keeps this magic alive night after night, and every single person who has joined us in the crowds: thank you so much. You made this tour unforgettable.
To close this chapter, here are five moments I’ll cherish forever (it was impossible to choose just a few!):
1. My two homecoming shows at Wembley Stadium in London – a dream I still can’t believe came true.
2. The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders taking the stage and giving Physical the most iconic twist imaginable.
3. Sharing the Sunny Hill Festival stage with my dad, Dugi, in August – technically not a tour moment, but I have to give it a mention!
4. That one-off night at The Abbey in LA with the legendary queens: Trinity The Tuck, Shea Couleé, Symone, Plastique Tiara and Aquaria. Pure joy.
5. Every single duet I sang with a local artist in their home city. I genuinely can’t pick a favourite – each one felt unique and utterly irreplaceable.
See you again tomorrow, Mexico City – let’s make the final night one to remember.
All my love,
Dua x

Dua Lipa performed at Estadio El Campín in Bogotá, Colombia as part of her Radical Optimism Tour on November 28th. She performed “Antología” by Shakira and will continue to perform a surprise cover song by a local artist based on the city she is performing in. As it turns out, Shakira was performing at her own concert on the same night in Asunción, Paraguay, where she also sang “Antología.”
When Shakira found out Dua covered her song, she posted a video to Instagram, adding: “I’m so touched to hear my song in Dua’s voice, in the same city where I wrote it years ago. See how music brings us together? a girl from London and another one from Barranqulla! Thanks @dualipa ! What a treat! 💕”
