Dua Lipa has been photographed with Julianne Moore, Tilda Swinton, and Pedro Almodóvar in a new photo shared by Pedro’s brother, Agustin. Dua is rumoured to be appearing in one of Pedro’s upcoming films. Last month, Dua told Spanish news website El Espanol how much she admires him:
“I’m a great admirer of Pedro Almodóvar and I’d love to be an Almodóvar girl one day. His films really empower women, make them be themselves without apologies. Almodóvar’s work always has female protagonists, they are the absolute stars, so strong, so themselves. They speak to how much Pedro loves women in the way he presents them, their stories, with many nuances. It’s funny but also emotional and dramatic. It gives women a lot of layers and I love that.”
Dua was last seen with Pedro in January 2023 when she interviewed him for her podcast, Dua Lipa: At Your Service.

Dua Lipa has announced that her second single from ‘Radical Optimism’ will be ‘Illusion.’ It will be released in exactly one week, on April 11th. She shared a preview of the song on Instagram which you can check out below (or you can listen on Twitter here). The cover art was shot by Tyrone Lebon. There is also an alternate artwork option of ‘Radical Optimism’ now available for pre-order.

Dua Lipa has posted a behind the scenes video of the making of ‘Radical Optimism’ on Instagram. She captioned it “let’s take a deep dive shall weee, chapter one 🌊” which suggests that she will be sharing more behind the scenes diary-style videos ahead of release of the album on May 3rd. Dua also messaged her fans signed up to WhatsApp message a teaser of the third single, which you can watch here or below.
